What to Expect

Northwood Temple is a large church with a family atmosphere. We believe that church ought to be a place where everyone feels welcomed and loved. We have people from over 39 nationalities and many different Christian traditions. We come together with the common goal of celebrating the greatness of God.

Our worship services are a blend of traditional and contemporary styles. In any given service, you could hear the pipe organ echoing refrains of “How Great Thou Art” and the worship band, with guitars, drums and keyboards, playing lively new choruses. The music is often complemented with an orchestra and a dynamic choir. Services include an inspiring message from the Bible designed to challenge and encourage people to be more fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.

We believe that our services are times when we encounter the Spirit of God, and we often see people set free from addictions. We see broken families restored. We see people who are at the bottom of life restored and changed. Some are miraculously healed from diseases. There is an atmosphere of expectancy that God will be present and do marvelous things among us.

The main entrances to the sanctuary are on the north and south sides of the building. The north entrance has a breezeway and there are a number of handicapped spaces available. The main sanctuary is handicapped accessible.

Complimentary coffee is served from 9am-11am on Sunday mornings in our bookstore, Hebrews Café, located in the western lobby (facing Ramsey St.).
